On Thursday March 30th, GVFD was paged out to the first brush fire of the year. An engine and a tender were used to extinguish a wide spread grass fire that had also consumed a small shed structure. GVFD would like to remind residents to go to our website at www.gabriolafire.ca to make sure they are following the local burning regulations. Each year the wildfire season gets worse and starts earlier, so please be careful and follow best fire safety practices.
