GVFD Open House, Saturday June 3rd 12pm-4pm

Come meet members of the Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department and learn about the various emergencies they train for. Learn about the FireSmart Program to protect your home and property. Fun for kids and kids at heart.

There will be a dozen different displays set up from a variety of emergency agencies including BCAS, Emergency Services, RCMP, HAM radio operations, GROWLS and others.

There will be live demonstrations and information about the new Emergency Medical Responders program, contractors equipment for fire suppression, and the new fire suppression sprinkler equipment and trailer here at the Fire Hall.

All this plus hot dogs will make for a full afternoon of information for the community.
