This is a page in development. Eventually, it may include sections such as: an FOI records list (for now see Routinely Available Records here), FOI Request form(s), Records Management and Privacy Protection Information.​ At the October 1, 2025 GFPID meeting, a select committee consisting of Trustees Appel, Bussler and Johnson was established, and their mandate is to examine the handling of FOI requests and generate recommendations for the purpose of reducing future costs.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION AND PROTECTION OF PRIVACY
ACCESS TO COMMON TYPES OF RECORDS
The following DRAFT list identifies some of the most common record types that are routinely available to the public by the GFPID and includes categories of both routinely available records as well as those requiring a request under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
When completed and approved by the Board, this DRAFT list should be used to determine whether or not a particular record can be released routinely or whether a more formal review is required. It is by no means an exhaustive listing and is meant only as guide. More details to follow. Stay tuned.
FOI FLOW CHART​
The following DRAFT Flow Chart identifies the usual process for determining whether a request is handled as a routine information request or as a formal Freedom of Information (FOI) request. It outlines the key steps involved in that determination. It is the Board's hope that instead of going through a formal FOI process, you might find what you're looking for on the Trustee site.
